(Traps, for advanced play, are included only in booster packs.) The main game pieces are 1-1/4-inch metal hexagons which are positioned on a 10-by-13-inch black honeycomb game mat. Even the beginner game, which uses only the Hexor pieces, is challenging and requires that players understand the rules of dueling and several distinctions that determine whether a jump is legal or illegal. The advanced game, which can incorporate the trap pieces (sold separately) but does not require them, is much more involved. Hexor tiles can also be worn as jewelry.
